Expert speakers will explore the legal trends in green marketing, the challenges and opportunities of user-generated content, Federal Trade Commission focus on testimonials and endorsements, key issues in claims substantiation and the use of surveys. The conference will provide attendees with practical information to enhance their ability to navigate the industry’s self-regulatory forum.

Scheduled Keynote speakers are Julie Brill, Commissioner, Federal Trade Commission; the Hon. Denny Chin, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit; Jim Kohm, Associate Diretor for Enforcement, Federal Trade Commission; Patrick Sarkissian, Founder & CEO, Sarkissian Mason, an independent full-service marketing and design firm; and Bob Garfield, co-host of NPR's "On The Media" and Editor-At-Large, Advertising Age.

Among the scheduled sessions: "Green or Greenwash? A Guide to Honest Claims in Sustainability Advertising" and "The Consumer Speaks: Updates on User Generated Content, Endorsements and Testimonials"

Approximately 12 Credits for Continuing Legal Education:
This course has been submitted for approval in accordance with the requirements of the New York State Continuing Legal Education Board for approximately 12 professional practice credits.

Accreditation will be sought for registrants in those jurisdictions with continuing education requirements.
